Hi! I wonder if someone can help me. Wilhelmina Josefina Svalstedt, born 1859 December 24 in Kungs-Barkarö, Sweden. She emigrated to Northamerica in May 1890 and 1891 February 05 she married Carl Gustaf Anderson in New Sweden, Aroostook County, Maine. Carl Gustaf was born 1863 June in Björskog, Västmanlands county, Sweden, according to the birthrecord. Carl Gustaf and Josefina Anderson had two sons Carl David and William (Willy).. Now I have this information: In the 1880 census of Woodland Maine: family # 137 Per Anderson age 52 a Farmer (born abt 1868) Johanna Anderson his wife age 52 (born about 1868) Gustaf Anderson his son age 17 (born about 1863) David Anderson his son age 12 (born about 1868) and Found on Emibas: emigrated from Kungsgården, Kungs-Barkarö, Västmanlands län, Västmanland on April 10,1871 Pehr Gustaf Andersson Born April 13, 1828 Floda, Södermanland Johanna Jonsdotter Born March 14, 1828 Vingåker, Södermanland Johanna Regina Pehrsdotter Born September 7, 1854 Rytterne, Västmanland Ida Lovisa Pehrsdotter Born July 28, 1857 Torpa, Västmanland Carl Pehrsson Born June 10,1863 Björskog, Västmanland Per David Pehrsson Born March 30, 1868 Kungs-Barkarö,Västmanland. And if I have understood it correctly the family emigrated to the USA 1871. Most likely the family on emibas has to be the same family as in the Woodland 1880 census. Pehr Andersson has become Per Anderson the birth years for all four people in the census match the wife is Johanna in both cases and Carl has picked up his father's middle name and is now called Gustaf, later he takes back his real first name but also keeps his father's middle name. In the birthrecord (1863) Carl Gustaf are named as Carl Gustaf and his parent´s are Per Gustaf Anderson and his wife Johanna Jonsdotter. I wonder if there is anyone who knows anything about the family above and I like to come in contact if that´s so. My maine question is to make sure that the son Carl Gustaf is the same Carl Gustaf in the family that married Josefina (Josephine) Svalstedt. Josephine was a sister to my great grandfather.
