I am searching for information about by Great X4 Grandfather, John Strawbridge who settled in the Crawford County / Venango County areas in northwest Pennsylvania around 1798. There he married a young Irish immigrant, but had a falling out with his family in a letter, over the lack of a dowry. It is not known for sure where his family lived, or where he was born, but the family story has always been told that he may have come from the Susquehanna River Valley, in Pennsylvania, possibly near Williamsport.
