Query Text: |
I am trying to find the location of my great grandmother grave. The grave is in MO and is marked by an obelisk with the family name Corcoran at the base. Death of Death taken from grave marker from picture in Nellie Davis possesions. The inscription on the obelisk is as fallows: Erected in the memory of Kattie beloved wife of Michael Corcoran, Died Sept. 26, 1885, Age 29 Years, also my sweet children, Timothy Davis, Julia Ann. CORCORAN (Family trdition is that she died in child birth with twins. Kattie was Katherine Crowley and came to this county from County Cork in the late 1870. Michael Joseph Corcoran, her husband, who erected the obelisk, also came from Ireland in 1873. In 1880 the family was in Butler County MO and later the family lived in St. Louis, MO. I have been able to trace the Crowley family back to Ireland but not the Corcoran's. Any help in locatig the grave or in tracing Micheael Joseph Corcoran will be appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
