My great grandmother had a sister who lived on the Isle of Pines in Cuba. She visited relatives in the early 1930s in Pennsylvania and Ohio as well as some friends in Indiana before returning to Cuba. I do not know her first name but she was married to Charles Newell. Her maiden name was Davis. She would have been born about 1859, in England. Some stories say she lived on a plantation and I also think her husband may have been a minister. They are probably buried on the island. I understand this was once a penal institution. I would love any kind of information about this or any clues that I might get to direct my search. Thank you.Marj | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
