James McHenry Williams (1827-1881) married, Mary Elizabeth Johnson, in Shelby Co.,TN, in1849. The 1850 census showed them living in the next county,Fayette,TN. Over his lifetime he is shown also in Tipton Co, TN. The location of the farm did not change, just the boundaries were adjusted to reflect the pattern of the creek that formed the boundaries of these three counties. Family has always said they were from VA, but James McHenry Williams claimed in the census to be from TN. Who were his parents and siblings? Any help is appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
