I am trying to locate my grandfather William Grover Smith (Schmidt), He was born around 1889 in Bloomington, Illinois. His parents were Louis Schmidt and Anna Pisell. The 1920 census has him in Bloomington with his mother, Anna Clements and her fourth husband James W. Clements. The 1930 census has William Grover Smith in Joliet, Illinois. The 1931 obit for his mother Anna Clements has him in Joliet, Illinois, it also shows a brother for Anna (with no name).The other husbands for Anna were Prentice B. Thrasher and J.G. Brouilette.Anna was born around 1869 in Kansas and died in Peoria, Illinois, but buried in Bloomington, Illinois. The informant for Anna's death was Gene Clickenbeard. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
