Mary Ann Murray born about 1858 at Curragh Camp, County Kildare. Father was an surgeon with the British Army at the camp. It is believed Mary Ann was left in the care of an Aunt when the parents were shipped overseas. The parents died either by drowning or by disease during that trip.
