My grandfather was John H. Ferry. Came to Philadelphia about 1880 and married Rose McFadden. They had a son, Hugh in 1885. Rose died and my grandfather then married Mary Gallagher, my grandmother. They had Patrick, John and Joseph,Joseph Ferry was my father. Grandfather died around 1900 and Grandmother Mary took her three sons back to Donegal because she too was terminally ill and placed her three sons with her sisters in Dunlewey, County Donegal. Hugh was 16 by that time and he stayed in this country and eventually settled in South Jersey. Pat, John and Joseph eventually came back to this country and settled in Philadelphia.
