Karen and Willis Briggs. Karen born 2/28/41 & Willis born 5/2/1939 placed in "Free Home" by Broome County Welfare Department in 1943. Father Norman W. Briggs died suddenly 9/1942. Left widow Flora May Root Briggs with nine children. Karen & Willis youngest. Welfare put all children in home. All others fostered until Mother remarried and was able to get them back had five more children after. Never stopped looking for two adopted out by the government. Children are said to have been born in Root Hollow Forkston Township, Penna. I am named for Karen. Your siblings want you to know of the your large extended family. There are photos of you with your family on the North Side of Endicott NY where they lived until father's death. Mother returned to Wyoming County Pa when she remarried. Your mother's new married name became Goble. She is buried in Factoryville Pa. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
