I'm researching the Dowdy family in Santa Clara County, CA. Some of the family moved over into the Watsonville area of Santa Cruz County. Most of the siblings are from the union of John Henry Hoover and Nancy Jane Hysell. Their children include John Meriday Hoover, Francis Marion Hoover, James Alexander Hoover, Dovie Caroline Hoover Williams, Albert Haden Hoover, Anna Laura Hoover, Lee William Hoover, Charles Edward Hoover, Emma Charlotte Hoover, Jessie May Hoover, and Maria Jane Hoover Westdorp. According to Family Search, all of the children stayed in and around Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, CA.
