Tracing my Brooklyn,N.Y.family.Through Fed.census and GreenWood cemetery records I have found Mackey decendants dating back to 1830's. Andrew Mackey,b.1804(?)Scotland,& wife Isebella b.Ireland arrived in Brooklyn prior to 1836. My quest is to trace them back to Scotland & Ireland. Ship's manifests appear to be the only records available for arrivals prior to 1855. I do not know embarkation port,date or ship. Where do I start?
