I am looking for information on Maria Justina Leitner (b. 1722) from Pennsylvania. Her family was from Germany. Did she, indeed, marry Johan Georg Ellinger also from Germany? Where were the Leitners, and the Ellingers,from? Were they originally Jewish? Their children changed their names to "Ellender" and later some went to Louisiana to intermarry with my Cajun family...TRAHAN family. A son, georg Ellnder married a Marie Petit Kliam (Claim).
