We urgently need to locate JOHN LEDBETTER and family who resided somewhere in or near Kern County, Bakersfield, CA and whose mother may have had a relative, or a friend, or even just known someone living near the Hall Family at 3122 N. Inyo St., Bakersfield California in 1955. We're not positive, but John (dob est. 1941) may have a younger sister Cheryl (est. dob 1953) however, Cheryl's last name may not be Ledbetter. We're told John attended school and played sports in the Kern County CA Bakersfield school district system Jay Hall said he always read about him in the paper. We don't know which school or which newspaper. Can you help? In 1955, John knew the Hall family who lived on N. Inyo in Bakersfield,CA. John's mother - Marian Robison or Marian Robinson? (not sure of the spelling of her first or last name, or if this is even her real name) knew Jay and Opal Hall who resided on N. Inyo, as they arranged for the adoption. Jay never said the birth mother's name. Sometime after the baby was born John's mother worked at the Bakersfield DMV. The Hall's would see her there when they went to get their license plates renewed and she would always ask about the baby girl. They told the mother the baby had moved to the east coast. Did you know her or this family or anyone who worked at the DMV? Did you ever know any person across the street from the Hall family in the summer of 1955? Absolutely any help you can offer will be dearly appreciated. I am advocating for Cindy Sterling Danner who has been told by Jay Hall that John Ledbetter is her older brother. We have been unsuccessful in locating John or his family. Can you please help? Cindy was adopted out of the family a few days after her birth in July 1955. A recent picture of Cindy with her husband is published below. She's hoping she looks like her birth mother or her sister and someone will recognize her.
