My grandfather fled the Cape of Good Hope during 1925. He was born during 1905. His name was FREDERIK CORNELIUS LABUSCHAGNE. When he fled he changed his surname to JANSEN. My grandmother only shared this secret with my dad just prior to her death, who in turn shared it with me very recently. My grandfather had a tattoo inside his left fore-arm of some family crest or code of arms. He spoke of his family's farm, where he grew up, in the Cape. He spoke of cliffs, mountains, a very large impressive barn and of hunting blue pigeons on the farm. He rode his bicycle from the Cape to Messina in the North, evidently fleeing arrest relating to some kind of crime.
