Seeking information regarding the following ancestors born in Northern Ireland and settled in Kildare, Quebec, Canada in the 19th century. Information taken from the Canadian Censuses is not clear. Helen Knox, born 1824 in Derry, Ireland, the daughter of James Knox, b.1777, and Nancy Lynn, b. 1794, Derry, who arrived at Kildare in 1829, married Andrew "Handy" Knox, born 20 June 1826, Derry. Or, Andrew "Handy" Knox married Helen, born 25 Nov 1827 and immigrated to Kildare, Quebec, Canada with son Thomas born at Derry and had two more children, Helen and Eliza after 1851. This Knox family may be related to a John Knox, born 1793 and his wife, Eleanor Allen, born 1821, Derry and coming to Canada from Garvagh, Coleraine, Derry.
