My birth parents, particularly my birth mother. She knew my adoptive parents (moved in next door while pregnant). I was born July 31, 1950. I'm a female, 5'1" and was told by a cousin of mine that I'm built like my birth mother. I had brown hair and eyes. I was born in Kansas City, Kansas, but raised in Kansas City, Missouri. My adoptive mom was almost 42 when I was born and adoptive dad was 43. Mom had two sons from a previous marriage who were almost 16 and 18 years old, when I was born. My birth mother corresponded with my adoptive parents until I was about 7 years old. About that time, they had changed our address, as the houses were miss numbered when the subdivision was built. The address went from 5052 to 5220 E. 40th Terrace. About six months later, we got a new mail man and my adoptive mother thinks a letter might have been returned, "no such number" and my birth mom may have thought they were saying to butt out of their lives. The last I talked to my adoptive mom about my birth mom she remembered that she had "moved south, had gotten married and starting a family." I was adopted in 1952 in Richmond (Ray County), Missouri. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
