I am searching for information about William Mackenzie (or McKenzie). He was a stonemason and landlord in Wigan from the 1830s but census returns show he was born in Scotland in about 1810. He married Ellen Cowley but i'm struggling to find anything about his birth or family. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Paul.
