Updated query Feb 8, 2003: My gggrandfather was Woodford M. KELLIS. He shows up in the 1880 census, born in 1823 in Kentucky of parents who were from Virginia. He married Nancy M. WILLIAMS in Sumner Co, TN, on Aug 17, 1845. She also was born in KY, in 1827, to parents from Virginia. Woodford and Nancy had the following children: 1861 Samuel (my ggrandfather) 1864 Alice C. 1864 R. Elizabeth 1867 Adda J. 1870 Eugene A. Samuel KELLIS, m. Elizabeth DOWNEY on Mar 30, 1879 in Gallenton, Sumner, TN. Samuel and Elizabeth had a daughter, Eunice Gertrude KELLIS, b. 1895-97 (Its hard to read the microfiche) in Bowling Green, KY, d. 16 Dec 1941 in KY. She was my grandmother. Eunice Gertrude KELLIS married Thomas Andrew FLANIGAN, my grandfather. Their first child, based on the 1910 census, was Thomas, in 1920. They lived in Hardin Co.,Kentucky. My grandfather FLANIGAN was born in Indiana, but he moved to KY before he married my grandmother. I have information on four generations of their descendents, but would like to have ancestors to add to that. I would be grateful for any sharing of data. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
