I am a female adoptee who is searching for information on my biological mother who I never knew. My mother was born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-western state and of Irish and Cherokee Indian decent. It is stated in the non-id info that her parents died when she was young and she was raised on a farm by her maternal grandmother. She was living in Miami, Fl 1942 - 1947 approx. I was born Nov 6, 1945 in Miami,Fl. She was dating Noland M Ebanks who was a Merchant Marine. (I have all of the info on him). She worked in Miami as an elevator operator, housekeeper, babysitter and bar maid. She only had a 7th grade education. She was of the Baptist faith. The non-id info said she had dark wavy hair, hazel eyes with very long eyelashes and had a good posture. My adoptive mother told me her name was Edna (Maybe another spelling or a middle name she used). There was the Evans surname (May be another spelling) in her family line. Don't know if this was her last name or not. May have been her grandmother's last name. My birthmother supposedly got married just before I was adopted at 18 months old to a man who was not my birthfather. Adopted mother told me she was returning to her birthplace with her new husband. Adoptive mother (Ethel Herndon) said my BM great or great-great grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian. Anyone have any info about this person - mystery continues. Would like to find some living family members who have a picture of my BM. If she is still living she would be 84. Thanks-Gloria
