Hi, My name is Alan Alford and I am in search of my birth parents. I was born 8-11-1962, 10:40am at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Ca. At the time of my birth I was known as, 'Baby Boy Martyn' later changed to Alan John Alford. I have one adopted sister, who is from a different family. The information on my birth mom, at the time of my birth is, her name Mary Ann Martyn, she was 24 yrs old, born in Indiana, lived in San diego about two years, was not married and as far I know has no other childern. She was, at the time 5 feet 5 1/2 inches tall, weighed 120 lbs, light brown hair, blue eyes, catholic and was employed as a reproduction typist. Today she would be about 71yrs old. My father, last name I believe to be Sampson, was 26 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 180 lbs, blond, gray eyes and was not married as well. Today his age would be around 74yrs old. My search is to close this chapter in my life. I am not looking for monetary gain of any kind. I also am not looking to disrupt or intrude into his or her's family, I have a great family. I just feel, being a parent myself, that there has got to be some way to have a conversation about my real past and hopefuly answer a few questions. My contact person was very helpful in finding my birth mother. I am going to meet Mary today. However, I'm still looking for my birth father. I now know his name is Wayne Sampson.
