S. W. Greer appears in the 1880 Texas Census and lists his birthplace as Tennessee about 1850. He died about 1887 in Brownwood, Texas. Family tradition is that his first name was Sterling. Nothing else is known about him. I am looking for his birthplace and parents. He married about 1876 Jennie Hewitt, about age 16, who was originally from Tippah County, Mississippi.
