Hello, I am searching for roots of my great grandmother, Elisabeth Gazda, supposedly born in 1878 in Bratislava region of Slovaka, also have papers that say she is from "Nitranyska Stolica", not sure if that spelling is correct. Supposedly came to the U.S. c. 1893 to Chicago area. Moved quite a bit between Chicago, North Chicago, and Hermansville Michigan. She had three husbands: Joseph Ballay, then a Johann Wencl, then a Stephen Zahuniar. She may also have had a sister named Kitchka .... if you have any information about this person, I would be very grateful if you contact me.
