Hi I’m working on a Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) application based on my Meador line. My Grandmother was Joanna Meador who married Alfred Henbest. They lived in SW Missouri and Fayetteville Arkansas. At this point, I have good Proof Documents for everything except for documents showing that Isham Meador and Bitty (Bradshaw) Meador’s son was Eli Meador. I have Daniel Meador and Victor Meador’s books on the Meador Genealogy; however, the SAR folk will not take their books as sufficient proof documents. They want to see copies of original things ISHAM MEADOR was born 20 March 1762 in Bedford County, Virginia. He died on 2 March 1840 in Smith County Tennessee. He may have lived in Sumner County too. He married OBEDIENCE (BITTY) BRASDHAW on 25 November 1782. One of their children was ELI MEADOR. Isham’s second wife may have been MARTHA CRAIGHEAD. ELI MEADOR was born around 1787 in Franklin County Virginia and died on 10 January 1847 in Allen County Kentucky. He may have lived in Smith and Sumner County too. He married SARAH Turner who was born around 1789 and died on 25 October 1855. I can be reached at pearceww@rmi.net or 6425 Ashton Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919-4821 Thanks a lot Warren Pearce | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
