Baby girl born 11/5/1980 in Corning, New York searching for birth parents or other biological family members. My birth mother was 17 years old, and my birth father was in his early 20s. My birth mother was approximately 5 ft. 2 in., weighed 130 lbs., had brownish-blonde hair and blue eyes. She was a student at BOCES in 1980 taking home economics. My birth father was approximately 5 ft. 8 in., weighed 150 lbs., had brown hair, brown eyes and medium complexion. He was noted as being a fairly nice-looking man. He was a highschool graduate and employed as an auto mechanic. My maternal grandfather was 6 ft. tall with dark brown hair. He worked on a dairy farm previous to becoming disabled. My maternal grandmother is deceased (but it doesn't say when or what age my mother was when she died). My mother had five brothers and one sister. Their hair color is light brown to blonde, and their eyes are blue. Three brothers had graduated from highschool and were serving in the armed forces. One brother was attending college. I was surrendered for adoption in February 1981 (3 months old) at Corning Hospital after being admitted for a broken left leg. A retired nurse told me she remembered my birth father was at my side every day. My mother told me the adoption process took a long time because my birth father did not want to let go. I have a daughter now and realize more than ever the importance of having a health history and knowing my family heritage. Please, if you are one of my birth parents or relatives or know of them, contact me. I do not wish to disrupt anyone's life--just to know for my and my daughter's sake.
