Researching Captain Thomas FRIEND, b. London, England, 1700, captain of English merchant ship, immigrated to Chesterfield Co., VA, USA, d. 1760. Especially looking for his ancestors in England. He married Francis COX, daughter of George COX and Martha STRATTON of Virginia. These are well known surnames in Virginia. I am of the only branch of Captain Friend's family to move to Texas.
