I have an adopted son who was born in Akron, Oh on December 7, 1976. His biological mother was of the Mormon faith,however she gave him up for adoption through the Catholic Charities of Ravenna, OH. His father was part Puerto Rican, but we were told that he was born in Mexico. The mother was 22 years old at the time of my son's birth. I believe that the father was as well. He was an artist in Cleveland, OH. My son was born at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron. I have searched the legal records for births on that day and have contacted as many people as I could locate. All have lead to dead ends. If I could get even the first name of his mother, the Mormon Church would help me. We just don't know where to start. She went to the Mormon Church in Rootstown, OH. They have told me that their documents were sent to Salt Lake City. Also, she was a Philosophy major at Kent State U. in Kent, OH. I have gone to the University and researched their yearbooks from 1974-77. I hoped to find someone who resembled my son ..but I had no luck. If I could get the registry of Philosophy grads from KSU, I might be able to find his birth mother. She was at least 5'10", with black hair and blue eyes. The father was shorter 5'8" with dark hair and eyes. If anyone can provide any information my son and I would be so very grateful. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
