Looking for information regarding Julia (Julieanna) Domakowski? We are looking for my Grandfather's (Anthony/Tony) sister or any information anyone may have about her. We have very little information to go by. She became a ward of the state and was in the care of Angel Guardian Orphanage somewhere between March of 1941 and July of 1942. After that her sister (Stella) was awarded custody of her and from there we've lost track. Stella and he had a falling out and she left Stella's home. Julianne made contact with my grandfather a couple times before she disappered in the late 40s. She was born on May 19, 1929. Her parents were Walter and Victoria (Miela) Domakowski and she was one of eight kids. Victoria died when all the children where still younger. Walter was a horrible man and because of this, the family got split up. My grandfather changed his last name to Miller, some relatives went by Dumakowski, son by Kon. My grandfather has been able to keep in touch with all his siblings except Julia, she hasn't been seen in decades. Her name could be changed, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. One of the other brothers had told his only son that he had no relatives and we were able to find him a couple years ago and show him otherwise. This may be the case with Julia, she may have told her children that she had no family. We desparately want to know what happened to her. She lived in Harvey, Illinois up until the late '40s.
