I am researching the Byerley family in South Africa, i.e. descendants of William and Christianna Byerley, a baker who emigrated from England to Port Elizabeth in the 1850s with 4 sons and other family members. I am descended from their son George Alexander Byerley who married Selina Ford. I am interested in all information about him, his brothers and their families. One brother (James,married to Sarah Welch) settled in the (then) Eastern Cape and the others, including George, went to the (then) Eastern Transvaal.
