SMITH

Query Text:

In 1945 there was a military base located within a 12 mile radius of Marana, Arizona. My uncle had been stationed there for about 6 months. On 1 July 1945 there was an accident. His girlfriend had picked him up. As they were leaving the base a tank came around the corner at full speed and ran over them. They were both killed. I am looking for a newspaper article of this accident. My uncle's name was Ivan H. Smith. I have no access to any newspaper articles from that time period here in Missouri. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. This accident happened on hwy 84 in Rural Pima Co. Arizona.
