Seeking relatives of John Howard and family who originated in Hyde, Gee Cross area of England. Apparently there are records in Hyde Chapel earlier than 1700, and still records of Howards through 1956, so some of the family remained in England besides those who came to the United States. John Howard (1760-1834) and wife Mary (1773-1867) were the parents of James Howard (1796-1887) who married Jane Shyrock (1812-1872). Records show that at least 4 of his sons with Mary are buried in Hyde Chapel Cemetary. Also, one daughter Charlotte, remained in England, and their granddaughter Edith Peover who lived in southern England with her husband Bert Peover. History shows the following known records of the James Howard family.
