Have info from will of Jacob Stutts which was dated March 23, 1796 was probated in Moore County, NC in November 1796. Urich reportedly came from Zurich Switzerland with his wife and three children. Listed in Imigration papers August 29, 1738. The name has been spelled Stutz. There are records that Ulrich Stutz was baptized May 27, 1688. The place is not confirmed the date of baptism is confirmed. Ulrich and Elizabeth Ochsmner (Ochsner) arrived in Penn. from Zurich, Switzerland around 1738, the ships was supposed to dock along the North Carolina Coast according to immigration papers of August 29, 1738. There had been a ship wreck with loss of many lives. The name was spelled Stutz. One report obtained from LDS, was that Ulrich was the fourth son named Ulrich as all before had died. It has been reported his parents were Michael and Barbara Huobscmid Stutz. Ulrich and his family arrived in North Carolina sometime before 1753.
