I am doing research on my grandmother Augusta H. Thomas born March 13,1878 in Toronto, Canada, daughter of Guido Ewald Thomas and Maria Jones Thomas. She married Christian W. Fitz on 22 May 1879 in Denver Colorado. They had three children, Rose born 11 March 1896 in Denver Colorado, died 27 Dec. 1960 in San Diego, California, John (my father) born 13 May 1899 in Silver Plume, Colorado and died 23 May 1947 in Denver, and Louise born 16 Sept 1901 in Denver, died 9 Aug 1984 in San Diego. Augusta divorced Christian Fritz in San Diego 6 Oct 1909. She later was said to have married an Andrew J.MItchell and accaording to the 1910 census for Campo Township,San Diego County it showed they had a daughter Clara age 10/12 years old(10months)at the time indicating that she would have been born in June 1909. That same census showed that her two children Rose and John were living with her and the 1910 census for San Diego township showed that Louise was a resident of San Diego Children's home at age 8 years. There is no further record of August after 1910, so have no idea where she went or where she may have died and was buried. Note: in the 1920 census Mitchell was found in the San Quentin prison in Marin County. He died in San Quentin on 9 Apr 1924 and his death certificate stated he was divorced, but there was no record of Augusta Thomas Fritz (Mitchell) in that census. Could anyone help me with a lookup for information concerning Augusta's Marriage, her daughter Clara's where abouts and any information on Augusta's death. Thanks for you help.
