I am desperately looking for my gggrandfather, John F. Hill, sometimes transcribed incorrectly as John T. Hill. He was born in VA in 1824, and married Labeny/Labany ?? from N.C. Whether this was his first wife or not, I don't know. I do know that they were in Indiana between 1852 - 1853. 2 daughters were born there in those years, Nancy, and Mary. they also had a son Elick, bith date unknown, place unknown. He was killed in the Civil War as a very young boy. They were then in Iowa in 1854-1858. they had 3 daughters there. Irene, my ggrandmother, who was born in 1854, Adela, born 1857, and Almeda born 1858. They then went on to MO in 1860. Their daughter Narcissus was born there in 1860, Melvinia in 1864, and Thomas B. Hill in 1869. they also had a daughter, Louise, birth date, unknown, place unknown. They were in Benton Co. MO in 1870, and Jasper Co. MO in 1880. Nancy married a man named W.J. Prewitt in Warsaw, MO, Irene married John P. Foster in Warsaw in 1874, Narcissus married Joseph Crawford in Warsaw in 1874. Louise married William Henry Wolliver in Warsaw in 1868.
