I am researching the family of Eugenio Gutierrez and Maria Nicolasa San Miguel Garcia of Duval County, Texas. Eugenio was born 20 Mar 1834 in Laredo, Texas, and Nicolasa was born 3 Dec 1843 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Eugenio and Nicolasa were my paternal great-grandparents. Known children are Juan, Hilarion, Cesaria, Onofre, Refugia, Andrea, Petra, Luis, Onofre, Jacinto, Luz, and Leonor. Juan married Guadalupe Valerio Garcia; Cesaria married Atenojenes Montemayor; Onofre married (1) Paula Mata, (2) Encarnacion Concepcion Zapata, (3) Amelia Clark; Refugia married Severo Juarez; Andrea married David Garcia; Jacinto married Elena Garza; Luz married Espiridion Perez; and Leonor never married. My research on Eugenio Gutierrez shows his parents were Jacinto Gutierrez and Maria Silvestra Canales (married 26 Oct 1827 in Laredo, Texas). Silvestra was baptized 5 Jan 1807 in Revilla, Tamps, Mexico, daughter of Antonio Canales De La Garza and Cayetana Salinas De La Peņa. The marriage records states that Jacinto was a soldier of the 1st Company of Camargo, stationed in this Garrison (I assume in Laredo) for four years and a native of Camargo. His parents are listed as Tomas Gutierrez and Juana Francisca De La Garza, both deceased. I am trying to find who were the parents of Tomas Gutierrez and Juana Francisca De La Garza. I am estimating that Tomas and Juana Fransica married circa 1800. Any information or leads is greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||
