My 3 x Gt Grandfather, James Sellwood, born c 1786, married a Hester Hensley Shortland. Both James and Hester (Esther) were born outside Gloucestershire Their children, all born in Stroud or Stroud Water were William Sellwood c1824, married Elizabeth Tomkins 1846 in Bethnal Green, London James Sellwood c1827, married Martha Lusted in 1867, in Bethnal Green Eliza Sellwood c1829, married William Young Hook in 1848 in Bethnal Green Hensley Sellwood 1832, died in Shoreditch Workhouse 1859 The family moved to the East end of London in the 1840s.
