My grandfather's name was Roy William White, b 26 Sep 1904, RabbitTown, Alabama, his siblings were: Minnie Molly White, Eula Mae White, William (Willie) Albert White, Pearl Irene White, Nellie Marie White, Floyd Alvin White, Eunice Kenebrow White. Their parents were William Robinson White b 17 Feb 1877 and Sarah Frances Elizabeth Brown b 8 Feb 1882, Edwardsville, GA. They were m. 19 Jan 1902, Rabbit Town, Alabama. William Robinson White's parents were Mark White and Margaret Chambers, m Calhoun County, Alabama. Family legend says that Grandpa tried tracing his family history once and discovered that his grandmother was a cannibal living in the swamps who ate 14 people. He loved to kid his grandchildren, so this is probably not true! Family history also states that William Robinson White went to Oklahoma Territory to outrun the law because he stole a horse or saddle? My aunt says relatives from Alabama tracked her down years ago, they said no one had ever heard from William Robinson again. My aunt didn't write down any of the information so I don't know the facts or if it is true. Any help tracing our ancestry and finding our Alabama relatives greatly appreciated! Thanks! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
