Seeking descendants of brothers Phillip and Michael DWYER, well-known in New York horse racing in late 1800's. The Dwyer Stakes was named for them. They were supposed to have come to America from Co. Clare (?), Ireland, in 1852 on the ship William Tapscott. My gggm Mary A. (DWYER) SMITH came with them (were they her uncles or cousins?) She was the daughter of Edmund and Bridge DWYER.
