Looking for any help with my ancestor Knut Larsen Lundgaathen from Norway's descendants/birth record access or anyone with information about a naturalization in Grundy County Court July 31, 1883. I have the certificate but I need to know how to get the whole naturalization file to find out how and when he immigrated <as well as port of entry and embarkment>. Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Knud, Knudt, Knute, and Larson/Larsen and Lundgaatten/Lundgaathen He and his wife Bertha Marie Berntsdtr. Vaeroy had Marie <Sep 1881> and Emma <Dec 1883>were born in Illinois, but I had until today always thought it was Rowe, Livingston, Illinois. If you lived in Rowe, would you have to go to Grundy County Court to be naturalized? The Oath I received today was from a land patent file in South Dakota <territory>.
