My birth mother and or birth father. I was born 4/8/1946 in Miami, Fl. at Jackson Memorial Hospital, I am female and was a small baby. I was taken by my adoptive parents 3 days later and went to New London, Ct. where my adoptive father was stationed in the Coast Guard. I have been told that my birth mother had dark hair and was petite. I think her name was Louisa May Bendert, but cannot really remember how the last name was spelled. I was told my birth mother visited my grandparents in Miami during the first year to see pictures of me. I was told my birth mother came over here after WWII to wed a soldier she met in Germany and got pregnant. My birth father had a rich relative which would disown him if they had a child without being married so I was put up for adoption. I don't know how true that is, but I have always had a feeling that I am part German. | |||||||||||||||||||||
