I am researching my familes of Pate's, Wells, and Belcher's. They lived in Lafayette County, Mississippi. My 3rd great grandparents were Samuel W. Wells and Keziah Belcher Wells. They were married in Mississipi and lived in Marshall and Lafayette Counties. My 2nd great grandmother was Virginia Wells and she married Benjamin Washington Pate in Lafayette County. My great grandmother Frances Pathena Pate was born December 7, 1861 in Lafayette County. After her mother died she moved to Faulkner County, Arkansas with her father and 2 brothers.
