Dear Board I am hunting for information pertaining to Titanic survivor Joseph Thomas Wheat. He was born in Rock Ferry near Liverpool in 1882 and served as a steward on the Titanic in 1912, living at that time in Southampton. A few years ago I was in contact with a descendant of Joseph Wheat who passed along his parents' and wife's name, and the fact that he had married in 1911. When it came to creating my database of passenger and crew information this correspondance had gone awol from my files!!!! So, as you see, I am very much in the dark regarding this man. According to passenger manifests at Ellis Island a Joseph Wheat from Southampton arrived in New York in 1923--I am assuming this is the same man and I'm also assuming that Joseph was settling in the USA.
