Seeking info on Michael Hennessey who migrated to America in 1885 from Ireland. Either County Mayo or County Clare. Also his wife Ellen Downs who was from one of the above counties and she migrated in 1888. Parents of Ellen Downs were John Downs and Elizabeth Cotter. Elizabeth Cotter Downs came to America in her late years and died here also. John Downs children: Ellen (m Hennessey), Susan, Mary (m O'Conner), Kathleen, Jenny (m DeKruyff), Tom, and John all came to America. One daughter, Betty, stayed in Ireland. All were Catholic. Michael Hennessey and Ellen Downs were married in Kansas City, Missouri,USA in 1889, raised a family and died there. Would appreciate info on any member of this family. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
