BELIEVE: Bridget RUDDY STANTON (wife of Patrick STANTON 1816 from County Mayo, Ireland)'s mother's maiden name or her sister's married name was RAIDY. Would have been born in Ireland. I have a copy from the cemetery office of the Stanton plot with the Ruddy plot right next to it. Mary E. Raidy Ruddy is the mother. I found her on the 1920 census in Lou. and she was born in Ireland. This family of Ruddy's is Bridgets ( I just know it - no proof yet though). Mary Raidy Ruddy immigrated here in 1849. She would have been age 6. ... the Ruddy's came here before the Stanton's did in 1853. I bet that is why Patrick and Bridget chose Lou(isville, KY). She had relatives here. ...
