I am searching for kin of Frank Hurst who died in 1888 in Albany county - or his brother named William HurstII who died in 1913 and their father was William HurstI. William Hurst (the I) died in 1879 and was born in England. There was a William Hurst III who died in 1963. i am kin to William III's wife. The first 2 generations lived in a place called Hurstville - which was located in Scotland and is now part of the city of Albany near Krum Kil Rd and New Scotland Ave. There is a street near there named Hurst. The 3rd William Hurst owned Helderhurst Farms near New Salem and a resevoir took part of the farm. I do not know who owns it now. William III had a sister named Nellie Cornelius - so I belive that their mother, Caroline Hurst was married before being married to William II. In the 1930 census, the 3rd William Hurst(age 39), his wife, Ethel M (Miller)(age 35) shared their big home with Nellie (age 58)and Caroline Hurst (age 73). It was a double home and William and Ethel lived on one side and Nellie and Caroline lived on the other. Nellie was never married and continued to live on her side of the home after Caroline died.
