I want to know more about my mother's side of the family. Her mother's maiden name was Marie Ambrose. Marie (my maternal grandmother) had several sisters (Ann,Helen,Jewel) and two brothers (Andrew and George). I do not know the names of my great-grandparents. They came here from Czecheslovakia via Ellis Island. Or so my grandmother Marie said! My great-grandfather died in a mining accident (fire) in Carbonado, WA. That's all I know about them, except that neither of my great-grandparents could speak English. How sad that this is all I know of them. I wish to know anything about these people...the whole family history, or as much as I can obtain. Also, I would like to know what the real family name is. Ambrose? Not likely. Wouldn't it be Broz, or Ambroz, or ....? I am most curious! If anyone has any information at all about my family, I would be so grateful! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
