Searching for Raymond Barr-Birthfather Birthmother Elizabeth Shinko from PA. It appears that they met in Washington DC when he was headed oversea's. She worked for the USO. Child/Self Roslyn Louise Shinko-Barr 7/7/45 Raymond was in the military in 1944, a new high school graduate. From what I saw in very limited information from St. Annes Infant Home via Catholic Charities (who lost my paperwork) in Washington DC, he was from a protestant family. According to that limited information he offered to marry Elizabeth, she said no. I was placed in St Annes in Washington DC and adopted at 6 months. I met Elizabeth before she died, she was unwilling to share any information or connections. | |||||||||||||||||||||
