Amada Tussey was born June 1819 in Claiborne County, Tennessee and died August 12, 1848. She married first cousin Jonathon Walker. Her children's names were Sterling Walker and Mary Jane Walker. Amanda and Jonathon died within a day of eachother during a typhoid epidemic. Their children were raised by Jonathon's parents. The parents of Amanda are Jonathon Tussey and Mary Ann Buckner. Jonathon Tussey was born in 1793 and died May 11, 1855 and he served in the War of 1812 uncer Captain Keyes Company 2nd Tennessee Volunteer. Parents of Jonathon Tussey are Jacob Tussey and Jane Shuff. Jacob Tussey was born 1754 in PA and died after 1817 in Caliborne County, Tennessee and served in the Continental Army with Captain Ruling's 2nd PA Battalion of Continental Forces commanded by Col. Arthur St. Clair/ Mahala and sister Mary Tussey married Walker brothers - Edward Walker, Jr married Mahala and sister Mary married Joseph Walker. This is all that I have on the Tussey line. If anyone could help I would like to know some more of where the Tussey family line originated from. I am also looking for a Pleasant Hillary Pearson who married Martha Davis. They lived in the Howard's Wuarter Section of Tazewell, Tennessee. Pleasant Hillary and Martha had a daughter by the name of Ellen "Nellie" who married Sterling Walker.
