Query Text:

William W. Bartlett married Crotia Barnett on 5 Sept. 1865 by a Rev. Philips in Vienna, LA. Since that part of Jackson Parish became Lincoln Parish in 1873, I tried to find their Marriage License in Ruston, but was not successful. Could it still be in Jackson Parish. I know the courthouse burned in 1880, but why weren't the records of my ggrandparents' marriage conveyed to Lincoln Parish??? Could it be they got the license in another parish. Are any north LA parish Marriage Records on-line? Thanks.
