I don't know much about my real family. My real grandmother was from Missouri and was an extra in the film Jesse James in Pineville, MO and apparently became pregnant by Tyrone Power in 1938 or so the story goes. That's literally all I know, except my father was always told how much he resembled Power, and I have been told the same. He never knew his real mother's name, and in fact, did not really know if this woman was actually his mother. He was told the story and went out and bought a book by Lawrence Guiles that talked about this baby and how the woman gave him up. My father was born in 1939 and the date fit, so he always wondered. Power looked for years to find his child (and by the time my dad looked into it, Power was dead) and never did. My dad never tried to trace it back. I care very much about this; it would answer a lot of questions I am having about myself. I would love to know if I am indeed related to Power. If it is true, I have no desire to intrude on the rest of the family, it would just help me and what I am going through now, and what I want to do with my life.
