Query Text: |
I am planning to visit County Meath in May of 2012. My great great grandparents John Reilly and Ann McEntegert Reilly came from County Meath to Illinois in the USA. I understand that the McEntegert's lived in the Singleton estate. When they left Ireland, they had an auction. I have a digital copy of their auction poster. It gives directions to get to the auction. The directions say that the auction will be held at the Reilly residence located on the lands of Lower Drumgill within one mile of Drumconrath, on the Kingscourt Road. JJ Cassidy is listed as the auctioneer. The auction was held Wed., Nov. 2, 1853. I would like to visit this auction site, and I need help knowing a starting point to use these directions, so that I can find the homestead site. I also would like to know where the Singleton Estate is. I'd appreciate any help that anyone could provide. Thank you. | |||||||||||||||||||||
